DEPARTMENTAL GATHERING

As a Head of Department, I frequently organized meetings of all types with my staff, whereby the office matters and the welfare of the staff are discussed. In this regard, can I seek an exemption from forming an MBJ?

Answer :

All government agencies that are directly involved in administration work, human resource management and financial matters must form its own MBJ. Different from other meetings, the MBJ meetings is an official forum whereby the Management and Workers would have a two way conference. If there are other meetings, the Management must identify which matters or issues to be brought to the MBJ meetings.

What are the benefits of forming the MBJ?

Answer :

There are many benefits to be derived by the Management, the Workers and the organization if the formed MBJ is active i.e. convening quarterly meetings. Amongst the benefits would be workers satisfaction, increase in productivity, loyalty to the organization, cost reduction and etc. Further information on the benefits of MBJ is state under sub heading I


DEPARTMENTAL GATHERING

How does the Department/Agency amend the constitution of the MBJ?

Answer :

The MBJ Constitution may be amended at any MBJ Meeting. The notice of the proposed amendment must be distributed to the MBJ members at least one month before the appointed date of the meeting. All amendments to the constitution which have been approved by MBJ must be submitted to the Public Service Department for approval..

HRMIS

What is the role of the Ministry and Secretary of State in the implementation of HRMIS?

Answer :

The Ministry/SUK is responsible on the following matters :

(a)
planning, managing and monitoring the implementation of HRMIS;
(b)
ensuring that all HRMIS primary data are certified and updated regularly
(c)
creating the HRMIS Help Desk 0 Level at Ministry/SUK level to overcome and manage any problems in the implementation of the HRMIS
(d)
providing the necessary infrastructure, such as, accessible location/rooms, wiring, power points and network for the implementation of HRMIS
(e)
ensuring all HRMIS safety aspects are in accordance with the stipulated standards as govern by MAMPY through the MyMIS documents
(f)
providing the expertise to resolve any technical problems encountered during the implementation of HRMIS
(g)
managing the HRMIS application user training

 In addition, the Ministry/SUK is also responsible to lead and ensure the implementation of HRMIS for all agencies under its respective control
